Ahhhh, Papi. How I wish I could sit with you on a lazy Sunday afternoon and talk about issues like this. Your writing always makes me happy. I love the fixer-upper/red flag castle. That being said, I know that CH is in a conundrum and I love how you brought it back to reality with just the right amount of levity and concern. Additionally, I thnk that Jendi, makes a good point. To CH: ow about renting an Airbnb in Scotland first? How about not being talked into doing something you know is not a great idea? How about doing the hard work that Papi so sagely advised? HUGS to all!

I do agree on those sad gray floors - awful.
Also, do you know how much it must cost to HEAT those big ole castles through the Scottish winters??? Oof!
